About Wendy McSorley
Born in Lachine, Quebec, in 1956, Wendy developed a deep appreciation for nature during the summers she spent with her family at Brome Lake in the Eastern Townships. Surrounded by the beauty of the lake, rolling hills, and mountain landscapes, she was inspired from an early age to sketch the scenes she loved.
Wendy’s artistic journey was strongly influenced by her mother, an artist whose creativity left a lasting impression on her. She fondly recalls watching her mother paint, captivated by the process and the transformation of a blank canvas into a work of art.
Although art remained a lifelong passion, it was not until 1999 that Wendy began painting with oils herself. Since then, she has embraced the medium as a way to express her love of nature, creating works that reflect the landscapes and memories that have inspired her throughout her life.
Recently Wendy has welcomed the opportunity to create works of still life and especially glass which has become her new artistic passion.
Wendy is open to taking part in collective exhibits and also welcomes commissions requested by clients who have a particular subject in mind.
